Vortech help?? Have a 2000 firebird. G-trim (Loud) aftercooled. I've been running the stock size pulley for three years. I wanted to go with the 2.75 pulley. I called Vortech to order one, and they told me I would have to buy the pulley, then have it macined at the snout to fit. I did a search and can't find anyone talking about this. PLease help.

I don't know it all about these kits I am pushing mine pretty hard though. Brian Just call ASP and order one from them cheaper and when they ask you which snout it is the shorter one I don't know what the measurement is. As far as the belts go I have just been buying Gates belts from the local auto store and just trying different lengths guessing based on how much smaller the pulley is etc... Usually takes me two trips LOL! So just buy them both and return the one you don't use. Should be a little more than a 1/4" shorter. So just give them the part number on the one you have and see what they offer that is shorter and make a determination based on that. Good luck.
