Default Turbo or N/A w/Nitrous

Well im almost finished with my full suspension rebuild, and im about to start on the transmission, but i still havent decided on my engine. Should i get a 383 or 396 go with a big cam and heads or should i buy a block built for a turbo and go that route, im a newbie when it comes to a power adder. Im looking for somewhere around 700rwhp. I talked with the guys at golen and they said that i should be able to get that if i throw on a 150 shot if i buy one of there competition short blocks and put on a big cam and some afr heads. i dont know how easy or how much more i would have to spend if i went the boosted way, you guys got an opinion. My goals are about 700rwhp, and the car isnt a daily driver, more of a weekend racer.

Depends on your goals and how much money you have to spend. FI is expensive whether you go turbo or supercharger. Nitrous is cheaper, but it seems the damn bottle is always empty or too low when you really want to use it and in some states it is illegal to drive around with the bottle open.

Around here 700 rwhp is tame We have full street trim cars running 8-900 rwhp everday. Some of the rear mount turbo guys are running close to 700 hp. I would recommend asking a lot of questions in here about specific applications and requirements. You have to account a few things into your build, retain accessories or not, turbo, supercharger, 2 power adders, computer, fuel system, charge cooling, how much absolute power you want to run, and many more. I would say turbo all the way as it is the most efficient power adder and plus it sounds cool Good luck. BTW i am going twin turbo.
