My thoughts on rear mounts...

My thoughts on rear mounts... Helping on a STS install, I cant help but compliment the kits quality and components and even the fitment. I would critisize the instruction book as having a couple vague spots, unfortunately my dominate right hand is broke, but I was able to identify (from my experience working on LS1s) with the location and stuff of a few things, and the jumper wire was missing from the PCV to pressure switch, minor.
IIRC I mentioned to Jammer (correct me if it wasnt you man) last year, I feel it would be too easy and very beneficial to use a remote oil tank, located in the spare well, or even under the car. Wouldnt have to be huge, but hold a gallon of fresh oil, a couple lines, a pump and a derale style frame mounted cooler. IF, and there is a possibility for it, I went to a custom or STS (from trt) I would have to do this, I just dont like a rubber line running forward and quick fitting into the oil fill cap, nor the rubber line itself.
If he'll let me I might fab a tank up for my buddies STS, unless this is a totally shitty idea? I just dont understand or am missing something?

Interesting idea...and not a bad one. Keeping the oil un-contaminated by combustion would be a good thing for the turbo bearings. As far as the oil lines, I am not real worried on mine...and I have a methanol line keeping it company (went with a larger tank in the trunk, but injecting after the MAF).
