On pump gas, I would be right. Ringing it out to peak boost, I would be right. You're choking off the turbine and the compressor on a big motor like that.

2001ws6 isn't wrong. He knows from personal experience from the combo he listed. 10.08 was in high heat on pump gas with low boost. The **** has been bumbed up for race gas now but the times are secret for now.

8.0:1 compression
stock cubes (forged pistons/rods)
Decent heads/cam
D1SC pullied to give around ~15-17#'s on 93 octane
Should be between 600-675RWHP depending on head/cam configuration
9's should be possible at 3000 pounds on pump gas.
Keep the compression low ~8.0:1 and let the compressor flow the cfm for a given power level.
