But yes, this does sound like a stuck injector. Tell your friend ASAP: CARRY A FIRE EXTINGISHER!!!!!!!!
I've seen the back half of a TT Viper go up in flames because of a stuck injector. Flames came out the tailpipes, rear facia caught fire. Luckily he had a little $15 automotive extingisher on hand. Saved a 130K car.

If it is a Stuck Injector, be careful of intake backfires as well.

When I 1st read 8' I thought you ment 8 inches, I've been there done that.. But 8 foot flames... ummm wow..
