Default 500-600hp Range

I am very interested in a turbo kit for my 2001 SS Camaro. I love the feel of a turbo when it spools....it is like nothing else out there. I am trying to get some advice on the best turbo kit for about 500-600 horsepower. I have been reading a lot of the threads and am getting great information but I guess there just isn't enough evidence out there for me to choose the best kit. I like the Phamspeed kit with the stock manifolds but I don't know if it will support my power output. Does anyone out there have any knowledge or experience with the Redline Motorsports turbo kit for the LS1. The website claims it made 700hp on stock block, heads, and cam. If you would leave me some feedback ...I would greatly appreciate it...Thanks. Also a good size for a fuel pump and injectors would be a huge help.

Mototron 60# injectors
either dual intank pumps or an intank with an inline pump
pm Armageddon or Hellraiser as they both have their Phamspeed kits running along with RicksWS6 i believe and frcefed98 as well.

I gots teh Phamspeed kit with the headers, not the new budget. The headers dont make a buge difference in most scenerios. 5-600 hp is easily attainable on any kit so long as you have a big enough turbo. I have a t76s adn it wil handle around 800 but i wouldnt push teh stock internals that far. A t67 would easily handle 600 rwhp. The only decision ya ave to make is how much you wanna spend. The phamspeed kit is about 2k less then alot of the other kits, and some of the other kits dont even come with a turbo. GL man

Thanks for the great advise. Just out of curiosity...does anyone know how many miles per gallon you are getting with a turbo kit...I know I shouldn't be asking this question. Also what type of engine management system do I have to get or do I need to tune the car after the kit is installed. What about the MAF sensor. What about the reliability of the product....anyone out there who has had a turbo kit installed for longer than a year? Thanks!!!

you dont need a piggypack or a standalone comp in that power range just get a good dyno tune and thats it.and if ur planning on staying under 15psi just stay w the stock maf.

I would not go past 500 rwhp on a Mustang Chassis Dyno with your stock bottom end for long term durability. 500 rwhp is still a lot of power, enough to make getting the car to hook at the track fairly expensive...
Gas mileage with a turbo is going to be pretty close to what it is prior to adding the turbo, provided you can keep your foot out of the gas. Bob
