Default How much boost?

I'm planning on buying a sts kit and was wondering how much boost is it safe to run on a ls1 with LQ9 heads, front mount intercooler, and meth? Also what all fuel upgrades would I need? I know I would need a 255 in tank pump and some injectors but I have no idea of how big injectors. Thanks Jerrad

I wouldn't run much more than 10#, just to be on the safe side... higher boost would require 60# injectors... on my setup, I plan on running 7-8psig and am running 42# injectors for my setup and a walbro 255. I plan on running some #317 heads also to get the compression down, sounds like you have a good idea on what needs to be done so far! =)

Well that is one side of the coin. The other side looks like this. With 42# injectors you can make aroudn 550 RWHP. You add teh meth on top of that and you cna get another 100 RWHP outta that, between tunin adn the lower IAT's. I have the same thign that you have save for i ahve a front mount turbo and i make 600 RWHP with out meth on 42#er's. It is stupid but its fun. I am gonan tune the car this week when HP Tuners gets here adn ill be adding alot of timing adn heading towards 700 RWHP.
You can do as you liek but 700 is alot funner then 500!!

From my past experience, 500 rwhp on my Mustang Chassis Dyno (540 to 550 rwhp on a non eddy current DynoJet) seems to be about the safe limit to the stock pistons. Cracked ringlands occur past this point, sooner or later...

8 psi would be a safe goal for your engine, unless you add forged pistons and better rods. Bob
