I have a ls1 and I like it. I have about 5000 miles with it and no problems. I dynoed at 390 rwhp-405torq at 5psi.. Got the methnol kit bumped it up to 8psi and got 475rwhp-494torq. The only thing I upgraded was my valvue springs everything else is stock.. Hope this helps

and are LT1 blocks stronger than LS1s since they're made of steel instead of aluminum? will they stand up to larger amounts of boost?

As far as the blocks go it really depands on the set up but the cast iron can be bored bigger. My STS has had a few problems mainly with an oil seal going out on the charge side of the turbo and oil misting in to the system. STS is sending me a new turbo to replace the one that leaks. Other then that its a great kit. I think the valve springs are a must, then eather a fuel pump and injectors or the methinol kit.

I have the STS kit and the main con is the location because if something is in the road you could tag it. The main con is rain if you get caught in a flooded area you could suck up water. Other then that I love the kit.

i can hear my oil pump clicking when i first turn my car on but after that it goes away. passengers never complain about it either. you can have some kind of exhaust fabbed up, a local muffler shop can do this easily. i just cut mine off 12 inches after the turbo and it just dumps, if u wnat go to www.sixtninecat.com click on current projects and kyles turbo z28 to check out the pics of my install. inly prob ive had with the kit is the turbo hangs from the existing muffler hanger and my comes off everyonce in a while and hangs crooked, i put it back in by hand and finally fabbed a clamp and made it stay. also my car is lowered one inch in the front and the downpipe drags occosionally, no damage though.
