Dave is still using a stock crank/maincap on his engine. He keeps me scared!

oh you know i'll fit a dyno in my schedule soon enough. priority is racing this sat at the tech race.

i bought the aluminized steel tubes from jc whitney. flanges from ptk

I may hook up with george to get a stainless version made at some point, if he is interested in adding this option to the kit offerings.

if you cant get the vband flange soon from ptk you can order them from airflo they had 4" vand flanges (double rolled or flared, you have to talk to them to get the double rolled as i dont think its on there site) and clamps pretty cheap.
also if you need it sooner i could overnight you one of mine flanges for cost.

or screw the down pipe and just fab a heat sheild

Dave very nice looking masterpiece..

On a side note, did you lop off the head of the power steering bracket bitch bolt? Looks like you took the head of it off, inserted into the head and plan on using a nut for easier installation? If so, cool beans, as I have thought about doing this same thing shortly when I swap out my shortblock.

And looks like the street wheels you have are a more common wheel for turbo LS1's, larry93 uses the same on his STS 35thSSLE, not like it is anywhere near your performance, but thought I'd share. Looking good.

i dunno what the bitch bolt is? but if the power steering area is moded anywhere its been like that so long that i forget what or why i did it.

car is running! feels pretty fast took it up to about 15psi and it spun third so i backed off. ( i told myself i wouldn't floor it during the test drive hehe)

here are rest of the pics. i like my chopper style wastegate dump.. ive always wanted to do that

i had to mod a flange clamp to hold the downpipe on since the correct one did not show (again) from ptk. i guess they don't like me?

finished downpipe, glad i didn't have to f' with it anywhere in the middle!

ground clearance, maybe gained a schoch (how do you spell that?)

i dont think the car will ever see 8's.. another 9 would make me very very happy... andy hey so would 1000 at the tires.
