How long will the bottom end last??

How long will the bottom end last?? Right now on my motor the bottom end is stock, stock compression.....the mods I have are FLP Lt's, ORP, all the free mods, etc etc, Cam, stock heads....
In the future I seriously think I will be putting a stage 2 D-1sc procharger on the car....how long do you think the motor will hold together as long as I keep the boost level around 5lbs...
Black LS1 t/a...how many pounds do you usually run??

Re: How long will the bottom end last?? If properly tuned it should last a long time. I had a 6psi Vortech on my T/A for 20,000 miles + with no problems. Don't get greedy with the boost though. That's not hard to do cause boost is addictive! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> Later

assuming proper tuning, many things are possible.
base boost was 7 psi for me, 10k miles or so at that level. i'm now at 10 psi day to day, 15k miles more at that level. I've had it up to 13 at points, but i'm out of injector and pump now.
40k miles on the motor, 25k w/ boost
