T04R Question I have a T04R turbo. .60 Compressor, 1.15 Turbine. What kind of Hp will this turbo be able to dish out and keep it running efficently? I aksed a question like this before and didnt get much response.
Well if it had been a t-76 or so I'm positive they would have come running with opinions. The turbo you have is not well suited to your ls1. The Compressor is sort of small and the exhaust a bit large. It would be well suited to a farm truck with an old big block that only see's maybe 4500 RPM.
If your looking for lower RPM LS1 with some grunt you could swap the turbine for a smaller AR. Something in the .96 - .81 will get it spooling real quick. The compressor will be able to stay in a decent efficiency range to maybe 6 psi. It wont be a high rpm turbo but will pull early and strong till around 5200rpm.
All of what I arrived at is given based on regular compressor and turbine wheels, something exotic here can sure change the turbo operation.
It would not help your current combo IMHO.
