Default Are you happy with your Turbo/Supercharged setup?

Just curious as to what you would get as your next upgrade, and the people that have turbos if they would do it again or switch to a supercharger and the people with a supercharger if they would go back to a supercharger or go to a turbo?

I voted have a S/C and will keep it. But that's not really the truth. I have and love my S/C setup. But I like to tinker and will always be trying to do more with this car. The D1 I have should keep me happy for a few years while I build up the other components. When the time comes that I've outgrown the D1, I will evaluate all options, turbo and S/C. I don't follow trends and I don't lean one way or another. It will be the setup that best fits my needs when the time comes. For now I am really happy I went the route I went as the Procharger is reliable(for an FI package) and gives me room to grow.

Liked all the power adders,
420 mega blower, SBC
420 mega blower with nitrous, SBC
Nitrous on the that same SBC
procharge on the 93 truck
paxton same truck ( 2 rebuild of that blower YUCK and $$$)
Small Blower on a 95 root style

BIG turbo on the 94 fire chicken(not running)

And Now Turbo on the 02. Turbo I would have to say is the most interesting and fun to play with... The blower and nitrous were just to violent from a standstill and slam the throttle open.. Turbo is much smoother and you just have to love the sweet whistle noise...

Turbos are amazing. So much power! Plus it is limitless. Easily the most efficient power adder period. Hell, I am pulling about 14 lbs of VACUME on the freeway!! You can't ask for more then that!

In the end, its what you can afford or have the skills and time to do.

And yes, the hissing noise is awesome.

Turbo all the way. I have to agree with one of the posts above. Although turbos have a lot of torque, it seems to come in real smooth. And it has the sound of a fighter jet and a muscle car. Gotta love it

I have an ATI Procharger and am very happy with it. I am sure down the road I will swap over to a Turbo setup, but more so just to change!

Can you modify the choices? I have a supercharger but I can't say I always will. I don't hate it. How about "Have a turbo/super like it, might try a turbo/super at a later point". One of these days I'm going to have to find a way to get a ride in a turbo LS1 car to see what all the excitement is about.

I have a D1 and very happy with it. The car is primarily street driven and plan on staying with this setup until the engine needs freshening or blows up. When that happens I will keep the D1 and turn up the boost and go forged.

I like my custom blower setup but would consider changing it to turbo once I go like 9.2 in it.
