Real KR or Not? You Decide . . .
I know a few on this board use Torco Unleaded Accelerator. Well, I put in one can ( 32oz ) into about 6 gallons of 91, and went to the track. At about 6.5psi, I ran an 11.90@118.3. But I'm still getting KR showing up around 4000rpm. I'm pulling about 3.5 of timing too! If I recall correctly, 1 can added to 5gal of 93 is supposed to give me 104. So I'm assuming I should have been somewhere around 100 octane. According to Dave, I shouldn't have to pull any timing at 7psi with 100 octane. Can I assume that I have false knock, or is there another way to figure this out?
Also, what MPH would you expect me to run @ 6.5psi with good octane? My O2's at 3500rpm are at .940, and slowly drop to about .895 at 6000rpm. I'm wondering if I could lean it out a bit more, maybe to .880-.890 to get more power. The last time I was at the track I was around .880, and had about 2-3mph more than last nite. One other thing, between 4K-5K rpm, my timing reported by Autotap was 19.5. I'm assuming that already reflects timing pulled because of the KR.

I can't speak for TORCO, but that 104+ **** at auto stores doesn't work.
Why don't you get some 100 octane and be done with it?
I just filled mine up today. I **** you not, it's a different animal.

I'd definitely get the 100+ octane reace fuel to eliminate if that is your problem.
I can say, though, that I've run TORCO in my gas with up to 12 PSI of boost with a dozen or so runs in the 8th and maybe a half dozen in the quarter with no detonation. (Actually my KR is 1.4 to 1.9 in second and 3rd. I've ALWAYS had that, whether I run 100, 104 or 107 race gas or TORCO.)
