Default cracked piston, block maybe more.

Today the mechanics were able to look at the engine. They found some interesting stuff. The first and most obviouse thing was one of the pistons. It looked like it was placed on a chopping block and had 1/8th inch sliced off. After I see that I'm still feeling o.k. Then they found a crack in cylinder wall that went through the sleeve and through aluminum. Going to show it to the machine shop guy to see what he thinks of it. Now I'm not feeling o.k. I'm think'n new small block...great.

Can still get mine! The machine shop will not be able to do anything with your block. ARE or MTI may be able to use it for a big CID buildup by resleeving it, but it can't be "repaired" as far as I know. Already seen that with another guys car out here.

Block is trash.

Rings butted up and a chunk of the piston got forced up and broke off...
