Yet another blower cam query.
Making the choice is very difficult though. I'm sure there is a better cam out there, that will give me gains everywhere over what I have now, which was bought in haste due to time constraints to get it running, although it is working ok.
Im swapping to 3.55 gears ( 3.27's are damaged, my bad when building it )
I dont want to lose out low down, but as I'm changing my diff ratio, I want/need to have the ability to pull around 6800rpm in 4th without difficulty when going up the strip.
I'm hoping for terminals in and around 140mph ( maybe even slightly more if possible ).
Current best was 133mph, just shy of 6000rpm with 3.27 gears/26" nitto, on current 346 engine.
Cam suggestions anyone, preferably with dyno graphs ?
I'd like a smooth idle if possible. Current cam is too lopey for my liking.
My YSi is pulley'd at 8.25"/3.15" at the minute and was making about 15psi at 6000rpm., but I'll probably change that to 8.25/3.0 for the 382.
Ive searched and a few seem to like bigger cams, but then an awful lot say a small cam like the 220/224 can work too, and work superbly low down.
I could go back to 3.27 gears in the future, but I'd like to give the 3.55 a try for now.
