I like how everyone is postiong still not done... I doubt any of us will ever be done. I know everytime I think I am where I want to be I find something else to get! And when I am done I will sway from teh D1SC blower to a Turbo setup, and who knows I may change that again and again. I don't know that there is an end to our madness!? Thats what makes it so much fun! Now when should I break the bank and get my Forged 408 ordered...LOL
I've been researching it for the past yr or so, and basically, if you're going with all new parts and having it installed by a shop...stroker, FI, tranny and rearend, you're looking at well north of $20k, and easily into $30k+. Then you will also have ongoing maintenance expenses after it's done. Alot of power tends to break alot of small stuff, and the small stuff adds up.
I think I may try doing it in stages first instead of getting it all at once. Maybe then I'll get sick of it before spending all that $

Im hoping to come in around the 8000 mark from where I am now. I will be using 6.0 heads and manifolds as it looks, and will hopefully have less than 700 in the cam (LS6), heads (LS6 springs, better retainers), and 6.0 manifolds. My car has a descent suspension setup, a built tranny, and a good clutch. I only want to make 500 at first. All fabrication will be done by myself, and friends.
