Rob Raymer Called me, initial Single Turbo Results!
Rob called me this morning around 10:30am, they got the car finished last night around 8pm and loaded it up and drove to Ed Wrights.
Rob said their in for another double all nighter since the car will goto the track tommorow.
Here were the initial numbers:
Stock 2001 WS6, bone stock, injectors, etc...
LS1 Motor Sports Single Turbo Base Kit @ 5psi
Stock Tuning
463rwhp/468rwtq
These are some great numbers, but they were at 13:1 A/F ratio which is too lean for a daily driven FI car.
But also, this is without all the parts that Rob is including in the kit.
I just called Rob back and got an update. They changed out the injectors to the ones included in the kit but ran out of fuel pump at 5200rpm.
485/592 at the wheels is what it made before they went too lean to continue at 5200rpm. I didn't get a boost number but he had mentioned going for 8/9 lbs earlier today.
They are working trying to make their GSS340 work right now but it seems the 02 fuel module is different and they can't get it to work without taking out this baffling system.
They could take the baffle out and run the pump but it leaves you having to keep the tank almost full and its a customer car so they were going to mess around with it.
Rob says their working on it and if they get it working he'll let me know.
If the supply is there this looks like it may finally be the FI kit to get for the LS1.

That sounds great. Any idea where he is going to be racing at? I hope he comes to Beech Bend tomorrow so I can talk to him about it. Doubt if he will drive back from Ed's though. I can't wait for the results. I'm trying to decide between this and an ati.

Wow, those are excellent numbers! Finally, a reliable, well built, availible kit that makes power.
Now the question is...is it affordable?

how do the manifolds work on the single turbo exhaust? do they merge in to a Y first then the turbo or does the turbo rest right off one of the headers then Y in to the exhaust?

Eric, thanks for the post. I'm starting another topic that will hopefully answer some of the questions that may come up.
