simple question I hate to ask this, but is boost from a roots style supercharger linear? Does it hit full boost before redline? Someone said something about a "displacement" supercharger. Do they produce maximum boost early then increase airflow as supercharger RPM increases? Thanks,

the positive displacement superchargers produce power low in the rpm range. they reach full boost early. a twin screw will produce near instant boost at about 2,000-2300 rpm..that will be nearly 100% boost. my fathers kenne bell makes 8lbs at about 2,000 and peaks close to redline at about 9.5lbs. the roots are similiar although a little less efficient.
the centrificals build boost gradually and max out in the upper rpm...their peaks will at redline
