Default Powerdyne install: what to do with power steering cooler?

I picked up a used Powerdyne a few months ago, and I am starting to prep my car for the install (pump, fans, injectors, etc...). One of the things I noticed is that the kit instuctions do not mention the removal or relocation of the factory steering cooler. I am pretty sure that it will have to move or go completely.

Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Am I going to boil my fluid without the cooler? I was thinking of getting a small remote air-to-air cooler and putting somewhere else. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

thats because the ding dongs at powerdyne didn't know/realize some cars had them. they developed the system with no consideration for the ps-cooler. but don't fret. With a couple of pieces of radiator hose your good to go.

Here is one pic I have showing where it is relocated. If you need more detailed pics showing everything just let me know and I can snap some and post/email them to you.

I stood mine up on it's side next to the radiator. It winds up being just a little below the radiator support bar but still behind and protected by the front valence. I'd show you a pic but my site is temporarily down.

Thanks for the info. So by leaving the cooler in, I assume you skip the modified hose and steel tube that they give you with the kit, and make your own re-routed hose using the cooler, right? I guess I'll have to look for a new home for it after all.

I figure if I do this one little piece at a time, the actual blower installation will be a breeze (no pun intended). Thanks again.

Bingo on both accounts.

The install is very easy.
