FI and tuning questions
I was wondering what is max timing I should be shooting for. I understand it is just a ball park figure, each setup is different.
On the Load vs RPM table, I understand Gms/Cyl is a measurement of air, do I only adjust the highest reading or a range of them.
What is the best A/F for power on our engines, 12.5? Best "safe" A/F to tune to, 12.1?
Which is best to adjust first, timing or fuel once I get the fuel below 12:1. Work the timing map to get it dailed in the work the fuel curve then work the timing map once more?
Any questions I am not smart enough to ask, please feel free to answer for me.
Anyone like to guess the HP levels I might reach?
TIA
Chris
You will have to adjust a range of speed/load points
I'd go with timing first, as the stock tune will put you near 11.5:1 at WOT, then lean it out from there
That's what i did on mine.
Yes stock bottem end, and pump gas.
Right now I want to get the street program dailed in then go back and tune using race fuel.
What range do I use on the spark tables, the Gm/Cyl is confusing me to be honest. Do I only use the highest table or 1 gm/cyl up.
Right now I have everything from .8 Gm/Cyl up brought down, 9degs at stock max tq up to 13 degs.
I did that to be safe before I got on the dyno, I am hoping I left a lot on the table for improvement.
Thanks
Chris
