gear ratios and turbo

gear ratios and turbo I have an M6 with 3.42 gears now. What effect does changing the gear ratio have when you're running a turbo at low boost? I know it puts you in your rpm power range faster but does it have any side effects besides that?

A turbo has gnarly torque numbers, even at low boost. The 3.42:1 gear is a good choice. It'll get you out of the hole, with the prodigious torque, and still leave a ton of room for the top end charge. It also is a gear with particularly thick flange material. In a stock differential, this is a bonus.
I'm keeping mine, as suggested by Rob at LS1 Motorsports.
