big turbo for small boost for a little while?
big turbo for small boost for a little while? would a PT88 pushing only 8 or less pounds of boost hurt anything...
my reason being i dont wanna waste money and upgrade...
id like to have it for my stock motor this winter and then when the funds come build the 408 and big fuel system....
so would the stage 2 (bigger turbo and IC) highflo turbo setup be ok on stock motor with say 225AFRs and a turbo cam?
the heads and cam will swap over to 408...

well i am putting a Pt88 on my car and wont be running it to its full potential until i get my megasquirt wired in and tune it.
the only problem is to make sure your wastegate is big enough otherwise your boost will spike. Im planning on running about 12psi starting our and i hope my turbosmart 48mm will be able to control it.
youll have to be ok with its laggy time and not much power per the low boost used.

Just remember that 8psi on a big turbo will be more air entering the engine than a smaller turbo because the air will be cooler and more dense. Other than that, you will be fine if your WG will handle it like Hawk said.
