Looking for opinions....
7 PSI would be more manageable.
gotta remember, the truck motor has a lower CR to start.
advance curves are lower on the truck to start, not a premium fuel vehicle.
What base motor are you installing it on??
strait form the whipple web site http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/powercht_c.html the 4.8 with a whipple at 6psi is rated at 384fwhp. now add hp for the extra 3psi, about 20hp/lb. so now you are trying for 444hp.
now to calculate injector size you can goto rcengenering http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm and use one of their tables to see what size injector you need.
at 444hp, .55bsfc and 80% duty cycle you need 38lb/hr injectors.
even at 100% duty cycle you will need 30.5lb/hr
from what i understand .55bsfc may be too low, .60 might be closer. i don't think those injectors have a chance, at 6psi they should work fine, somewhere short of 9psi they will run out.
the best thing about these websites is you can copy what others have made work. is anyone runing 9psi, if so what did they have to do to make it work?
