F1 Clearance question
F1 Clearance question Okay guys, been working on my F1 408 project for 8 months now.... nearing completion. I've heard people state that they had problems with the "hat" clearance...... Well sure enough I am too. what have you guys done to fit it in??? Any help appreciated.
I've been researching this for awhile too, and I think the only options are to either move the radiator forward about 3inches or have a smaller custom radiator made so you can run the piping under it.
I have an F1-r blower and the inlet sticks out even more on that unit. i had to move the radiator about 3 inches forward and notch the core support ( didn't really need to ), i also used a different inlet "hat" , its basically a 4" rubber elbow ( got from AZtpi in phoenix,az for what i think is an lt1 throttle body) that i cut down to fit, its a tight fit but it works !
