Both headers into one turbo...
Why do some turbo guys run both headers into a turbo? Quicker spool? Is there any advantages to this setup? Would say a 4XX LS1 stroker benefit with both headers running into a T88? Thanks

As compared to? All correctly built single systems run all 8 cyl into the turbo. If you had a 4** then yes it is going to be one heck of a turbo car.(that is with correct tuning and spending some time on the setup)

Re: Both headers into one turbo...
Well, I'm new to the turbo scene, so I thought if you run a single turbo, only one header is attatched to it as opposed to both headers. Like the BMR project, they have both headers running to one HUGE T-100. Would this setup be necessary or beneficial on a 4xx LS1 with a T-88? Or would one header attached to this turbo be enough? Thanks for the reply.

Re: Both headers into one turbo...
You cant just run one bank of cylinders into the turbo.
1. You are losing out on half the energy.
2. You would have a huge difference in back-pressure on the two banks of the engine. This would cause all kinds problems and would be a horrible idea.
