spark plugs for FI set up

spark plugs for FI set up I just ordered some new plugs for my car since I put on the Vortech and the guy at the local shop said he would get me two steps colder than stock. I now have a new set of NGK TR55 but I have heard alot of people say TR6 is what u need. Anyone out here know what the difference is and will the TR55's be ok?

Re: spark plugs for FI set up I think the TR55 plugs are the stock heat range. You dont want to run those with your Supercharger. You want the TR6 plugs which are one heat range colder and gap them at .035 - .040. I would like to find plugs that are two heat ranges colder but I've never heard of them. I use the TR6s gapped at .035.

Re: spark plugs for FI set up I think the guy cross referenced the TR55 to be the same as the 103's because he didn't have either one in stock and said they were both two steps colder. I think the 105 is recommended so 103 would be two steps right. Im gonna call and make sure. The guy is a Buick GN guy so I figured he knew. I'll let you know soon.

Usually you only want a slight tint of brown on the porcelain....anything heavier than that and you are usually too hot
i tried to skimp by with 1 step colder with 9.3:1 compression, iron heads, and 12psi....but it didn't last long.
i went one more colder and it was much better
