Need opinions on my convertor please well hopefully with the D1 and the built motor(which is almost complete)ill make over 600rwhp.
So to maximize the power I sent the vig 2800 for an upgrade to a 3800. you guys think it will help?
Does anyone else have a 3600 or 3800 stall with the blower?

Re: Need opinions on my convertor please If that 3800 stall is based on a stock ls1 it might be to loose.
I use a vig 2800. It now stalls to around 4000rpm.
5000rpm shift extensions with a 6300rpm upshift.
500rpm actual slip at 6000rpm.
That's with around 640Flwhp.

Re: Need opinions on my convertor please Not FI as of yet but here are my opinions. If possible, finish the engine build, dyno it and send that to PI. They will build it exactly for your motor. Yank recommends a 3400 or 3600 2.7 STR
for blown applications. The chart is at converter.cc .The advertised ratings for PI are usually a little high. 3800 may actually stall at 4600. I would recommend the Vigilante 3200 (actual stall around 3600) built for 600hp. Hope this helps.
