o-ringed block?
What is a o-ringed block? Figured I would ask here because I allways see it on cars with super chargers or turbos. I am building a motor that is setup for a blower and was wondering if I needed to do this.
What is is?
Benifits?
do I need to do it?
Thanks

Thats when you machine a groove around each cylinder on the top of the block. Then install a copper wire in the groove, which applies sealing force between the head and the block. The idea is to stop blown head gaskets in high preasure setups. I don't know how many LS1s have been done. I think maybe Raymer's camaro is done.
