Re: blow off valve - bypass valve ahh...ok well i took mine apart to see how it works and all....seems ok......HKS said it will make different sounds on different cars. Gonna try it at different spring tensions. The standard range is 3.5-9psi....the vacuum hose sees boost and helps keep it closed under boost.

try a type r.. thats a really big/good one for the price.

blow off valve - bypass valve Why does the turbotech bypass valve make a "chucka chucka chucka" sound instead of one "woosh" I'm wondering if it is operatingly properly or is sized correctly. it is an HKS i believe with a 1.5" inlet outlet. Any thoughts? just wondering if its doing its job or could it be leaking under boost. Guess i need to take it off and look at it to see how it really works. I think Reckless knows what size spring TT supplies with the HKS valve
Re: blow off valve - bypass valve Mightymouse, I thought the same thing but the input/output is 1.5".....the bypass valve is the race valve by HKS. No rating but the standard valve is rated to 300hp so i would think this one is big enuff
Re: blow off valve - bypass valve maybe cuz the big one is huge *** and the spring is so stiff it is only letting the air out when the pressure gets high enough and 'pulses' know what i mean?
Re: blow off valve - bypass valve yeah i do...the spring is a 3.5 to 9 psi spring. That's the weakest they have. I'm going to just live with the different sound.....HKS says it's normal.
