WOOHOO! Procharger is on... Man after 3months of waiting I have finally got my procharger and it is awesome. I Love that D1 whine and the rumpity rump of my B1 cam. After the cracked crank pulley fiasco we finally got it all back together. I am lucky that I already had the intercoolers mounted before the kit came. It only took about 35 minutes to put the ATI crank pulley and bracket up to the motor and get the plumbing hooked up. I drove it this morning without tuning and it felt great. I didn't go WOT but I did take off pretty good at some lights and it is night and day between my lil powerdyne and this one, I thought low end torque would suffer a little with the D1, this isn't the case.
I sent the PCM off to Ed Wright to get reprogrammed for the increase in boost and some more fine tuning and the 38#injectors that I will be installing tomorrow.
BUT a quick question to all you other procharged guys.
does your y pipe to the intercoolers hang low too, if you corrected this what did you do to make it sit higher.
I trimmed about .5inch off the discharge side rubber elbow and it helped a little should I trim more or are there any secrets out there to put the y a little higher up.
With the Powerdyne the Y sat way up and out of the way.
Friday the PCM will be back and I will break the charger in and hopefully next week I will have new dyno numbers, I hope this set up beats my lil powerdynes old numbers(428rwhp/461rwtq@ 5psi intercooled)
PD best numbers @3600ft above S.L. 12.1@119mph w/1.90 60ft 6psi non intercooled.

Re: WOOHOO! Procharger is on... Spray WD40 inside the rubber elbows and more easily rotate those suckers like you are molding them to a snug fit with your car. You shouldn't normally have to cut anything.

Re: WOOHOO! Procharger is on... rotate the y assembly from where it enters the intercoolers, you have to kinda twist it up then connect it to the discharge elbow from the blower ( the metal y part goes in very far into the discharge elbow)

I just trimmed the elbow that goes onto the blower, so the whole "Y" would sit higher, then on the two parts going to the innercolers, make everything tuck up high and tight, shouldn't have any issues, i don't like the way it sits, so i'm rerouting everything this winter, after i do it, i'll post pics in the spring.
