Default Adding LQ9 Heads-How Much Boost Loss

Picked up a set of Patriot LQ9 heads. Just wondering if I'll loose any boost? If so, about how much?

I would say about 1 lb of boost, but every combination is different, so it is just a guess. Bob

Even with the loss of 1#. I would think there would be more to gain from the increase in performance. That is what would be nice to know.

hes prolli not going to see any gains,or little gains from LQ9 heads, hes dropping the CR therefore he would more than likely lose hp if thats the only mod he did, but with that drop in the compression he can safely run more boost which is the whole point in dropping the CR.

Also those heads flow ALOT better then stockers. ven jsut teh stock LQ9's and LQ4's flow alot better then the stock LS1's. SO you are losing backpressure there also. I would say you prolly gained a little hp.
I recall when i asked about the 6.0 heads that PSJ said ya lose very little power from the reduction of CR.
Also i dont think that ya housl add more boost ya should add more timing. Timing makes it feel alot better then adding more boost. GL

John
