Default ATI Procharger Installed + a question

Well, I just completed my procharger install yesterday and everything went very smoothly. There was really nothing tricky about the install. I'm not sure how long it took me because the gauges, injectors, fuel pump and blower all came at different times over the last 5 weeks and I installed them as they came in. I am still waiting on the paperwork to get the programming done by Ed Wright so I haven't given it a good test yet.

I do have a question, though. When I installed the Anti-Surge valve the directions said that the inlet side of the valve was the side where you could see the head of the bolt in the center of the butterfly. When I hook up the valve using this instruction it looks backwards compared to the picture in the instruction book. Is there a better way to identify the inlet side of the valve and does it make a difference?

Thanks, Ken

Here is three different perspectives. Hope this helps:

Crank and Blower angle

From Back and Under angle

Thanks for the pictures Mike. Your pictures look like the ones in the instruction manual (opposite the way I installed mine). I just took the valve off to recheck the orientation and took some pictures. This is the quote from the instruction manual:

"The ProFlow inlet is the end that the head of the bolt in the center of the butterfly is visible...making sure the inlet end of the ProFlow is facing the intercooler J-tube."

This should be the inlet per those instructions, right?

When I use the above orientation the valve looks backwards compared to your pictures (i.e. vacuum hose pointing to the ground instead of the engine compartment).

This is the opposite side of the butterfly:

Do you think the screw head or butterfly was just installed backwards on the valve?

Thanks, Ken
