Has anyone fabed a front mount for new ATI system
Has anyone fabed a front mount for new ATI system I have been playing with the idea of fabricating a front mount intercooler for my 2000 SS. I have the D-1SC system that was recently released.
I realize I would have to remove the bumper support and clear up space for the plumbing and intercooler.
Please share your procedures, tricks, pics and advice with me.

Re: Has anyone fabed a front mount for new ATI system We are doing a front mount this winter on my 98Z, and either using the twin high flows mounted behind the two holes in the nose, or getting a custom one made, kinda like Harlans, or having one made with two in, and one out the top, and getting rid of the ATI plenum, and hood latch stuff, and one single up from the front straight into the T/B, weighing the options, and i'm actually even thinking of selling the D-1SC and going turbo, got i hate winter,,,too much time to think of ways to spend money. Damn

Re: Has anyone fabed a front mount for new ATI system I have the "stage 3" setup as well. It was front mounted at fist but it was mounted on the bottom. parrallel with the road. I have since removed my bumper support and put it in an up and down fashion. Before half of the intercooler's fins were blocked by the bumber support not allowing any air to flow through, now I believe it works much better.

I am looking at getting rid of the two parallel intercoolers and adding one in replace of the bumper support as well. I am sure it would flow alot better and I'm sure it would look good as well.
Where did you get the intercooler(dimensions) and what did you have to do in order to run it.
Do you have pictures you could share?

Re: Has anyone fabed a front mount for new ATI system The intercooler I have came with my kit. At first it was mounted flat, so all I had to do was remove the bumber support and washer resivour and make up some brackets. My excisting piping was able to bend enough to make it fit. The dimensions of my intercooler are 18 (24 with end tanks) x 11x4.5 with 3 inch inlet and outlet. Ill have to find someone with a digital cam to take some pics. Keep in mind I have the GWP "stage 3" kit. Altough at the time I bought it, it was the only kit they had.
