What is the downside to removing the Cats and putting in oxygen simulators in my 452 rwhp C5?

No emissions in FLA. The Ocean breeze cleans out the air. Some of the highest quality air in the US.

I'd still go with Hi-Flow cats instead.

the only time i notice any smell is when it is warming up but it is a good smell. it will be louder, i have the quietest performance mufflers dynomax makes, they are the huge body super turbos, not the strait thru kind, and my truck is loud as hell.
