help w/ turbo??? im considering on buying an ls1motorsports turbo kit. i have a 2002 camaro ss (m6). i still want an everyday driver out of the car. can this be possible w/ this turbo kit? i dont want problems like breaking down, ses lights , etc. in other words i still want to rely on it getting from place to place. also what recommendations would you guys have for the valvetrain for safety?? also would you recommend a cam change?? like i said can i have a 500rwhp car and still depend on it everyday w/ this kit?? thanks
Re: help w/ turbo??? well i use my turbotech T-76 as my daily driver.
i get an ocasional SES lights from my o2's that i need to replace, but i dont think thats related.
If you get it tuned right, use enough octane and dont overboost it you'll be fine engine wise. drive train with all that extra power will wear out faster. if you can get a 12 bolt or 9" rear, better clutch for man or upgraded tranny for autos. YOu might need to go to poly bushings for tranny and engine mount cause im finding out the rubber ones just arnt strong enough.
With increased HP comes increased wear.

Re: help w/ turbo??? i agree, for 500 you want to stock up on drivetrain parts , maybe some pushrods and valvesprings for good measure... maybe even an oil pump but those are for 'in case' **** happens scenarios, it should run just fine with stock internals at 500.
