how many psi of boost did you see on the guage?
I am going to have a very similar setup to yours so I am curious because the head unit I am getting has the 3.0 pulley on it. I may need to get a bigger one so I don't see so much boost.

thanks!

Blackbird:

We were watching the fuel pressure gauge primarily but I think the boost gauge was reading about 5-6 PSI.

LS1Bird:

Thanks! I only "play" at the track to minimize the casualties <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Default Dyno results with ATI 7# kit

I took my car in today to get it dyno'd with wideband. The car has stage 1 CNC heads and a mild comp cam (see sig.). The ATI kit is the "7 PSI" 3.4" pulley on a P1SC. I have 38# injectors and tuning by Ed Wright. The 7# kit supposedly doesn't require an aux. fuel pump but fuel pressure started to drop at the top of the runs and the A/F ratio began to rise (no knock though). I had kind of anticipated this and have an in-line pump on order.I was pleased with the results: 518HP 449 tq. Boy, it's going to be a long winter waiting for the track to open.

looks good, you def. need more fuel. i would replace the intank first with a gss340.

what are your iat's and max timing and did the heads change the compression at all?

Dave,

I didn't see what the IAT's were (I wasn't doing the logging). Max. timing was about 19.5 deg. The heads are stock compression. I probably will end up with an in-tank pump but I wanted to try to avoid the hassle and go with the in-line for now (...I know, shortcuts always end up costing more).

Thanks, Ken
