Intercooler/Aftercooler tweaking , Improving Ambients & Efficiency? Anyone ever pressure test an Intercooler or Aftercooler for leaks? When is it important to do? I hear testing at 10psi is good. I hear you cap off one end and use an air pressure gauge and test around 10psi for any leaks.
1 reason I wanted to check was I just polished a non-polished Vortech aftercooler and removed all the welds. Anyone want to comment?
Anyone ever use a larger water reservoir for their Vortech aftercooler? Like the Windshield Wiper reservoir? Any reason I could/couldn't/shouldn't use the wiper reservoir? I hear a larger reservoir stays cooler longer.
Also, re: the water aftercooler secondary air to air exchanger. Where is the best location for it? If you put it up front touching sitting on top of the radiator exposed to fresh air, wouldn't the radiator coolant/temp heat the aftercooler water in the air-to-air exchanger if it's touching the coolant radiator?
Anyone know the Vortech Aftercooler water pump volume ratings? Anyone change to a higher flowing piece? Does the Vortech water pump run continuously?
Anyone ever use scoops to direct airflow below the car?
If I wanted to pack ice into my wiper reservoir for a money run, any guess how long the ice would last? What is our Wiper reservoir capacity anyhow?
