Oil smells like gas?

Oil smells like gas? Ok, I think I have a few problems. I’m looking for some insight.
I've had my motor running pretty rich up top since I was scared of detonation, this probably just got worse since I just put on a bigger pulley and a better fuel pump. I did a few wideband logs and it is in the 10.5 range once it hits 5700 (I think I over compensated for the MAF maxing out), everything else at WOT seems to be in the 11-11.7 range. I'm still getting intermittent knock even with timing lowered to about 16.
Now today I noticed that my oil smells like gas. Should I be really concerned about this? My next planned step is to try some top end cleaner and change the oil (and then lean it out some more of course).
I guess my question is, is the gas smell in the oil something to be concerned about. Do other guys running FI notice this at all?

Re: Oil smells like gas? If you're running it that rich I'd change my oil a little more often. Having said that, let me add that gasoline engine oil ALWAYS smells a little like gasoline too me once it has a few miles on it.
