Re: Help with pistons I have DIAMOND pistons in mine, and have no problems, we use them at the shop, in all kinds of motors, from 4.3 v6 s-10's to 572 ci offshore race boat motors, no problem, the pistons fit fine, as long as you machine the bore to fit the piston, don't just slap them in.

Re: Help with pistons No, that's what i mean, have the block machined(honed, for the pistons) we went with Diamond 3.9005 bore pistons, and they fit great as long as you machine the block for the pistons.

Help with pistons I just got my Eagle h-beam rods last week and now I am looking for pistons. I would like my compression to be 9.2ish with a set of LS1 heads.
This will be a LS1 motor swap fo my pickemup.
My buddy said that he is not a big fan of Diamond pistons. He was real big into those little Buick V-6 turbos, 5.98 in the 1/8. He said that all the Diamonds he has installed have a little to much bore clearance for his taste. I was wondering if anyone else have used these pistons? If no, what pistons would you use?
