218 cam?

218 cam? What do you guys think about running this cam with a 5.7, stage II heads, and a D1SC?
MMS218 is 218/218 563/563 114
Sounds too mild if you ask me. This is the cam that a local shop sold me locally telling me this is what I should run with the stage II heads and D1SC. I just took their word for it without checking into it. I'm now going to a 6.0 block and I'm thinking of selling the cam and going with more duration. Any suggestions?
PS- Most likely going to a set of TEA 6.0 heads with 2.05/1.60 valves and a forged 6.0 block (stock stroke) along with the D1SC @ 10lbs. This was the valve size suggested by TEA.

Re: 218 cam? You don't need to go crazy with an FI cam. Actually that cam is good and shouldn't have any overlap. I'd prefer a bit more exhaust duration to cut down on reversion and any reversion detonation.

Re: 218 cam? Thats a good cam, I would go lower on the lift though, I am putting in this upcoming week a 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa 112icl, that should be a great F.I. cam....minimal overlap...good cylinder pressure... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Maybe I'll just keep it. It just seamed mild. I want to make sure I get the correct cam the first time around.
