D1SC requires tapping your oil pan and i think has a different internal step-up ratio. i have a P1SC and it has internal oiling and a 4.10:1 internal step-up.

The D1SC does not require tapping the oil pan. It is self contained just like the P1SC1(used on LS1's). You may be thinking of the D1. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
They both have the same 4.10:1 step up ratio but, the D1SC is capable of flowing about 200cfm more due to some differences in the case and impeller(I think those are the only differences). The P1SC1 can actually be upgraded to a D1SC for ~$900-$1000 dollars.
The D1SC seems to outflow the P1SC1 by a good margin with the same pulley.
Hope that helps.
