vortech guys some help please This winter i added gtp stage 2 heads and blower cam also an intercooler. last summer i was runing 6 psi of boost. What pully should i get now to get my boost leves back up to where they were?? I have been told that their will be a big drop now that i have the new heads and intercooler. Alos how much does the new pully cost. Thanks guys.
All of this is for a 1996 lt1 with the vortch SQ 6-7 psi kit. I dont know the size of the pully other than that is what they gave me in the kit and it made 6 psi. thanks

They are $67. Each size smaller adds another 1 to 2 lbs. of boost, so you'll probably have to drop two sizes to get back to the original boost level you had before the heads and cam. Since your kit came with the 3.33" pulley, you should probably drop down to the 2.95" pulley, Part Number 4GH038-295. You may want to call Vortech to find out which belt you have to buy. I don't think you can change to a smaller pulley without changing to a smaller belt. The belts are about $36. One word of caution though, start saving up for some forged pistons and connecting rods. They WILL go eventually, and even faster with more boost. And you don't want to be caught off-gaurd with no cash and a busted bottom end.

Re: vortech guys some help please Thanks for the help, I call vortech up and see what type of belt i will need. I just hope my stock pistons can hold up for one last summer. I checked them when i had the motor all apart and they looked good. I have made sure i dont get any detination.
