can I run 10psi on my stock engine I got the twinturbo with b1 cam. I have it at 7.5psi on 94 octane and about 15-17degrees of timing. Just wondering if I could run 10psi at the track with racegas and not have a problem.
Re: can I run 10psi on my stock engine I've done it at 10PSI. Ran it a bunch of times without any knock (pure 104).
However after a bunch of runs I had a head gasket start to weep coolant to the outside of the motor. The gasket didn't break around the cylinders though. May be a head flexing. Not sure. The head when checked afterwards was straight. The stock 99 gaskets may be the weak link here.
The 2002 gaskets would work better seeing Harlan used them and had no problem cranking up the boost.
It can be done!
