Need assistance on FI gauge selection
Need assistance on FI gauge selection As my project is slowly but surely getting underway, I am looking to purchase gauges to meet my FI needs. Right now, I have the Innovate XD-1 standalone A/F Ratio gauge temporarily mounted on my sterring column with a single gauge pod.
The FI setup is a D1sc pushing moderate boost. So I need to figure out exactly what gauges I "should" buy to monitor this beast. I planned on buying the fuel pressure gauge (small one) for the end of the billet fuel rails, and buying an Autometer Phantom (to keep the white face theme going) 30vac/30 full sweep boost gauge with peak/warning- Autometer PN 5777. I wanna run the triple pillar pod so after the boost and AFR gauge I have one more spot to fill. What other gauge(s) is/are recommended? It is a 6pd car so trans temp isn't really needed.
Oil pressure?
Coolant temp?
Anything else?
Also, I am confused as to what type of gauge is needed, i.e. Mechanical or Electric.
Would the boost gauge be mech. or elec.?
And the same for the oil or coolant....mech. or elec.?
Any help is appreciated. I am somewhat a newbie when it comes to gauges and the electrical system. Thanks in advance.

Id use the 3 pillar with the XD-1 up top
a 2 1/16 Elec Fuel pressure gauge in the 2nd to the top and a Mechanical Bosst gauge if you like or an electrical one that up to u. The elec. on has a peak meomry function so u dont have to watch it as close and a peak so.......... the down side is its $140 more ya know.

J/KSo I take it the electric fuel pressure and boost is more needed than the oil pressure and coolant temp?
