My motor is in the shop getting internal work (JE pistons, eagle Rods, stock crank).
I have a 218/222 .562 .562 cam in the car. The heads are getting ported to Stage 1 specs. I am currently looking @ ATI Procharger kits for specs.
Right now I have a viggie 3200 stall and 3.42 gears. I am getting a PTE4500 stall in the mail. Should I stay with the viggie if I am to see boost in the future? It will be a while before I can save up some money to do this, but I would like to beef up the transmission/driveline before I put a blower on it.
Can I see 500+ RWHP in an auto with no more than 7-8 PSI on stock compression/93 oct with heads/cam? I haven't worked out the fuel, but will more than likely get some 38/42lb SVOs and an aftermarket fuel pump. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I have LS1-edit.
The car wil be rarely seeing the track, but I want it to be a docile street terror. Whether or not I will go with the P1 or the D1 from ATI, I don't know yet. Which would you recommend if I am not going to see more than 7-8 PSI ??

You REALLY need the D-1SC if you are going to have heads/cam. The P-1SC was designed more for the completely stock motors.
FWIW, I did 486 RWHP / 487 RWTQ at 10 PSI with an automatic and other guys with manuals see 500+.
7 or 8 PSI may get you there with heads/cam. But, tuning and fuel system is going to be very important.

Thanks for the input. I'll look into the D1-SC. Anything else I'll need to worry about in the fule system besides a fuel pressure regulator, injectors, and fuel pump? I have LS1-edit for tuning.
If I knew what I know now, I'd do the Walbro 340M in the tank instead of an In-line.
Either way, the Walbro 340M In-tank or the Aeromotive A1000 or Eliminator In-line should give you what you need for low-500 RWHP range. 42# Injectors and LS1-Edit tuning should just handle it.
