My UPS man sadly huffed and puffed with yet another big box for me...
The Vortech YS trim, blower pulley, crank pulley and balancer are here...
Now I can get the rotating assembly balanced and we can assemble the longblock!

...and the clouds part. The sun peaks out and so shines a ray of light. Angels sing in the background.

I'm running the Diamond 9:1 3.905 bore pistons. I am going to run a stock crank (might cryo it), and Eagle 6.125 rods with ARP rod bolts... ARP main studs, GM 6.0 MLS gaskets, Federal Mogul bearings, blah blah blah. I'm gonna run the motor loose.
Oh I also got a Vortech mondo bypass.

John, how much did you pay for those pistons..
I assume the rods were $600, I was informed them come w/the rod bolts...
Also what did you pay for the bearings, I'm trying to get a general idea here of what I need to save..

The pistons are like $500-600 with wristpins, the rods with L19 rod bolts are like $500-550... The bearings are not that much... Take all costs with a grain of salt, you can find the rods and bolts cheaper but sometimes it's worth the extra money to order them from someone you know versus some guy in West Virginia on Ebay.

What belt setup are you going with PSJ?
Are those pistons reverse domed or just in the hole more? Are you studding and O-ringing the block and heads?
thanks,
Chris

Jonh, you may have covered this before, but what are the specs for the cam you are using. Have you decided yet?

What did you decide on options for maxing out your MAF? Let me know if you have any sources that might be able to help some of us, that don't want to spend $2500 for a FAST system.
Thanks and good luck with your beast.

In no particular order...
-Air to water intercooler, nose mounted, custom made by Sikorra Precision.
-Cam? FMS FI cam, ask Allen.
-PCM, supposed to have a different piggyback box here soon, alternative to FAST we'll see if it's as good as FAST, I can't say anything more about this controller until I and another guy have put it thru it's paces. It is cheaper than FAST.
