I just ordered the MCleod twin disk. I did a search on the clutch. I read a post were people were having hell bleeding out the new master cylinder. Do a search in the drivetrain section for MCleod. Some one did a good wright up on how they were able to bleed the Master cylinder good.

Default Clutch Help Please

I posted this in the drivetrain area and nobady has responded so Iam going to post it where my fellow FI people are.

I just had a new Mcleod dual disk clutch installed with a new master & slave cylinder.

The clutch pedal goes down smooth and soft for anout 2 inches then it gets really hard the rest of the way down. The clutch engages at about 1 inch into the hard zone.

The car run and I dont here any mechanical problems its just the way the clutch pedal feels and acts.

The clutch pedal is also a little slow coming up. I can literally remove my foot of the clutch pedal faster than it can come up. What is going on.

Is this normal due to the new master cylinder or is there a major problem. I just got the car back yesterday. And it seems that the longer I drive it the better the clutch feel gets but it still doesnt feel right.

Should I keep driving it and see if it gets better or can I mess something up by doing this.
