160 T-stat and Forced Induction Good or Bad?
I am hearing bad because it keeps the car running too cool and you start prematurely wearing the rings.
I am hearing good because a cooler engine is less prone to detonate.
Anybody have any hard facts to support either arguement?

Re: 160 T-stat and Forced Induction I've had a 160 in every performance car I've ever owned (OK, both of them). My LS1 car actually runs in the high 170's to 180's, at least with how I have my fans set. I am using the hypertech fan settings plugged into LS1-Edit and it works great. I think the only reasons that the OEM's have it so high is for emmissions, it actually hurts performance to run at 230 all the time.

Re: 160 T-stat and Forced Induction I didn't have any hard data, but both ATI and my install shop (ForceFed Performance) highly recommended it. I trust them more than I trust my own knowledge. I was already running it (160) anyway, so no biggie to me...
