Forged Lunati bottom end stock displacement
8.5:1
LQ9 heads, ported with oversized intake and exhaust valves shaft mounted rockers
Sheetmetal intake
Twin turbos running 12-15psi
7500rpm
Is this going to 750 WHp ???
I think that combo might hit high 600's rwhp, but not 750rwhp I don't think that's enough boost.
Does Lunati even make a 8.5:1 piston for us? I don't think so, unless they do custom stuff.

They use a -21cc reverse dish pistons to lower the compression.
All kits for the LS1/6 are shown here.
All the kits except the 408 are availible in 8.5:1, 10.6:1, and 12.5:1. The 408 gets 8.5 and 10.6 only.

what bore? but yes it is! the 8:5:1 is a little low for street IMO but with 15psi ok! I run 10-11psi on stock lower end and LQ9 heads. And my new motor will take me to 700's hp.

I was looking to stay with the stock bore. I know that the LQ9 heads will drop the CR slightly due to the 4cc larger combustion chambers, so a shaving of the heads is mandatory IMO. There will be room to work with with the reverse dish pistons so I do not think the I will have a problem with valve-to-piston clearances. I will probably shoot for 9:1 cr with the head shave.
I think my biggest worry lies with the intake manifold. So far I have found no firm data so to how far the new Weiland intake can be ported to reach my goal of 7500rpm. If 7500 can be reached without hitting a flow wall I believe that 750RWHp should be able to be attained.
