twin turbo 3500hd problem

Okay I thought maybe someof you might know what the problem is. My buddy has a 02 gmc 3500 hd that we twin turbo. When it spools up to about 4#s it loses power and the reduced engine power light comes on. It through a code for the map sensor. What can we do about this map sensor or replace it with a better one if so which one? Thanks guys for any help on this oh it is the 8.1 liter v8 truck

Your probable maxing out the MAF. best bet would be to eliminate it and tune with speed density. You would need to do some logging it confirm this, but that's my guess.

thatd be interesting, it could be a number of things, the MAP sensors are not designed to read positive pressure usually

got any pics, sure would be nice to see it

Well none of our map sensors are made to read positive pressure but they dont **** up the tune. I hope ya figure it out man. And get us some videos or atleast pics. I havent seen a 8.1 turbo yet. Prolyl makes a SHITLOAD of TQ. GL

Its fun till 3000rpms and 4#s of boost it just quits going the code thrown was a map sensor code. thanks guys I will search more and get pics soon it is a buddys truck that just got done last night
